Welcome to CHAI Studio. By using this website or submitting a reservation request, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Handmade Artwork
Each piece is an original, one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic artwork.
Natural variations in form, surface, firing and decoration are an inherent part of the handmade ceramic process and are not considered faults. Any notable cosmetic characteristics beyond these natural variations are documented in the individual listing and reflected in the price.
Product photographs and descriptions are intended to represent each piece as accurately as possible. Please note that colours, surface finish and appearance may vary slightly between screens, devices and display settings.
2. Reservations
Pieces are available on a first come, first served basis.
Submitting a reservation request does not guarantee the opportunity to purchase or reserve a piece.
The first completed reservation request received for an available artwork will be offered the opportunity to purchase that piece.
In the event of multiple reservation requests being received at substantially the same time, priority will be determined by the recorded time of the completed reservation submission.
If your reservation request is successful, you will receive a personalised shipping quote and Stripe invoice by email within approximately 24 hours. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide accurate contact information. CHAI Studio is not responsible for delays or missed purchase opportunities resulting from incorrect or incomplete contact details.
Reservations are held for 48 hours from the time the invoice is issued.
If payment is not received within this period, the reservation may be cancelled and the artwork offered to the next collector in line.
If you do not receive a confirmation email within approximately 24 hours of submitting your reservation request, it is likely that another completed reservation request was received first. While I will always do my best to respond where possible, a high volume of enquiries may make individual responses to unsuccessful reservation requests impractical.
3. Pricing
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Shipping costs are quoted separately and calculated individually based on the destination, package size and weight.
Shipping charges are confirmed before payment and form part of the final invoice.
International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes or import fees charged by their destination country.
Prices may be changed at any time before a reservation is confirmed. Once a personalised shipping quote and Stripe invoice have been issued, the quoted price will be honoured for the duration of the 48-hour reservation period.
4. Payment
Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
If your reservation request is successful, you will receive a Stripe invoice by email. The invoice will include the price of the artwork together with a personalised shipping cost based on the delivery address provided in your reservation request. Payment is entirely optional until you choose to complete the invoice.
Reservations are held for 48 hours from the time the invoice is issued. If payment is not received within this period, the reservation may be cancelled and the artwork offered to the next collector in line.
Ownership of the artwork transfers to the purchaser once full payment has been successfully received and cleared.
Orders will only be dispatched after payment has been successfully received and cleared.
5. Shipping
Orders are shipped from Sydney, Australia.
Each artwork is professionally packaged using protective materials to minimise the risk of damage during transit.
Shipping costs, shipping services and estimated delivery timeframes will be confirmed before payment as part of your personalised shipping quote.
Estimated dispatch dates are provided in good faith and may vary due to circumstances outside my control.
6. Damaged in Transit
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs of:
the artwork
the internal packaging
the outer shipping box
This information is required so I can investigate the shipment with the delivery provider and work towards an appropriate resolution.
Please retain all original packaging until the matter has been resolved, as the delivery provider may require it as part of their assessment.
Claims reported after this period may not be able to be investigated with the shipping provider.
7. Returns
As each artwork is original and one of a kind, I do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.
Please review all photographs, dimensions and descriptions carefully before reserving a piece. If you have any questions before purchasing, I am always happy to help.
8. Intellectual Property
All photographs, artwork, designs and website content remain the intellectual property of CHAI Studio and may not be reproduced, distributed or used without prior written permission.
